What To Expect

What to Expect at The Journey
Upon arriving at The Journey if you have any questions about the service or our church family: feel free to ask!

Our building is not very impressive. The carpet is patched together in places and there’s a beam in the middle of our sanctuary. And we love it.

In Star Wars, Luke Skywalker says to Han Solo “What a piece of junk!” when he first sees the legendary spaceship the Millenium Falcon.
Han Solo responds, “She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts, kid.”
We feel the same about our church. Because the church is not the building, but our members that make up our church family, who love one another unconditionally, and put Jesus first in their lives.  That’s what is important to us, and that’s how we measure what God is doing through our church.

What Should I Wear?

Some people wear jeans and t-shirts, and others in dresses and button-downs. Wear whatever feels comfortable!

Music

We typically have a selection of three or four songs that will be played during service. We have multiple singers, a keyboard player,  guitars, and drums each week.

Offering

We believe giving back to God what is HIs is important to His church, but this is for our members of the church.  If you’re coming to visit The Journey, please come on in, pass the offering basket along to the next person, we would love to get to know you.

If you’d like to support our ministry online, you’re more than welcome to donate using the “Give” tab above.

How Long is the Service and what is it like?

Sunday Gathering: 9:30am-11am

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate communion, which is open to any and all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Have Kids?

We offer a children’s ministry for grades K through 6th grade every week,  after our worship team is finished playing their final song.  We have two separate classes for these ages: K-1st Grade and 2nd-6th Grade.
The 2nd-6th grade classes are present in service once a month.  Typically this is the final week of the month.
Have a child younger than Kindergarten?  Our nursery is open for ages 1-Pre-K every week (excluding Christmas Eve/Easter services)! These ministries are led by trustworthy volunteers who have been with The Journey’s church family for quite some time.

Have a child that is younger than 1?  We have a room where you can take your child should they get fussy during the service.  The message is piped into this room so you are still able to enjoy the message and tend to your child.

Please don’t feel that you have to utilize this room, this is just an option available to you.  We have lots of babies at The Journey, and welcome them and their fussiness as much as anyone!

We hope to see you and your family soon at The Journey!
